Fire Department
The Napoleon Township Fire Department provides fire and rescue services to Napoleon Township and the northern half of Norvell Township. We operate out of 2 fire stations, Station 1 is located at 6755 Brooklyn Rd, and Station 2 is located at 3800 Miles Rd. We protect approximately 50 square miles of residential, commercial, rural areas that includes a state wildlife management area, airport and several recreation lakes.

In Napoleon Township, you are issued a burning permit by leaving your name, address, telephone number and date you will be burning. This authorizes you to burn leaves or brush for this date only.

Norvell Burning Ordinance
In Norvell Township, you are issued a burning permit by leaving your name, address, telephone number and date you will be burning. This authorizes you to burn leaves or brush only. No burning permits are issues for Sundays or the days immediately preceding or following holidays. Holidays are New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Also no burning permits shall be issued on Michigan International Speedway Race Weekends (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
